Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Saint John’s University in Minnesota and a master’s degree in Ancient Studies with a focus on Big History from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Following the completion of his graduate studies, he returned to his home state of Kansas to serve as a Legislative Fellow for the Kansas Legislative Research Department. Subsequently, he spent approximately five years working as a historian at the Indiana Historical Bureau, where he led the Indiana Legislative Oral History Initiative. In this position, he conducted research on the history of the Indiana General Assembly and political polarization within the State of Indiana. Ben currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana.
