<p>Marc Rosenblum is a Senior Fellow, Immigration at More in Common and a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Migration Policy Institute (MPI). </p>

<p>Prior to joining More in Common and MPI, Dr. Rosenblum worked from January 2016 – July 2026 at the Department of Homeland Security, initially serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary and leading the Office of Immigration Statistics. In 2019 he was designated as the Department’s first Evidence Act Statistical Official, overseeing Department-wide statistical data governance. In 2023 he&nbsp;was named the Executive Director&nbsp;of the newly established&nbsp;Office of Homeland Security Statistics, with responsibility for leading&nbsp;Department-wide&nbsp;statistical reporting.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prior to DHS, Dr. Rosenblum worked as a Professor of Political Science at the University of New Orleans&nbsp;(UNO)&nbsp;from 2000-2008, as a&nbsp;Senior&nbsp;Analyst&nbsp;as MPI&nbsp;from 2008 -2011,&nbsp;as a Specialist in Immigration Policy at the Congressional Research Service from 2011-2013, and as Deputy Director of&nbsp;the&nbsp;U.S. Immigration Policy Program&nbsp;at MPI from 2013-2016.&nbsp;In 2008-09 he served as an advisor to the Barack Obama presidential campaign and then as a member of the Obama&nbsp;presidential&nbsp;transition team. In 2010-11 he served as a member of the National Research Council,&nbsp;Committee on Estimating Costs of Immigration&nbsp;Enforcement in the Department of Justice.&nbsp;And in 2015-16 he served as a Member of U.S.&nbsp;Immigration and Customs Enforcement Federal Advisory Committee on Family Residential Centers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He has received numerous awards, including the&nbsp;UNO Homer L. Hitt Alumni Award for Early Career Achievement in&nbsp;Research&nbsp;(2005), a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellowship (2005-06), an American Assembly at Columbia University Next Generation Fellowship (2006-07),&nbsp;&nbsp;a&nbsp;DHS Office of Policy Recognition for Excellence (2016), a&nbsp;DHS Secretary Award for Innovation (2022),&nbsp;&nbsp;an&nbsp;American Population Association Award for Excellence in Public Service (2024), a&nbsp;DHS Secretary Certificate of Merit (2024), and the&nbsp;Data Foundation Datum Award&nbsp;(2025)&nbsp;for&nbsp;Outstanding Commitment to Using Data and Evidence for Public Good.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dr. Rosenblum received his BA from Columbia University in 1991 and his PhD in Political Science from the University of California – San Diego in 2000.&nbsp;</p>
